I don't wanna start any crazy rumors, but if this is true, I don't want anyone missing it:

I just caught wind of a tidbit that might be of interest...a certain SOMEONE is rumored to be presenting the award for best hip-hop video.

Seems an interesting category for him to be presenting, but maybe it's a chance for him to return the favor after Outkast inducted him in the RNRHOF...?

If it's true it's at least worth watching. Thanks for the heads up.

I watched the MTV Awards in 1999 when they kept advertising that he was going to be on it. I sat through all that boring ass hip hop and all Prince did was introduce TLC. I was mad as hell. Unless he performs, I won't be watching this one.

I just checked the calendar....Prince doesn't have a concert scheduled for Aug. 29 which is when the MTV awards will air live. Soooo...ya never knoooow.

i have been watching mtv since the mid 80's and have enjoyed the mtv vma's up until the mid 90's...because back then PRINCE, Madonna and a few other notables would be nominated or perform...now I will be watching regardless!

Because I like seeing the VMA controversy...unedited and raw comics who host this show!
