I know that many people don't like this album but I think it's a very good party-album. "Come On" and "The One" are outstanding songs! What's ur opinion?

10/10. Brilliant album. Truly underrated.

I could not give a damn about the first half of the album, except maybe Mad Sex even though it is a bastard child of so many other Prince?The Time songs...

But from Push It Up it becomes interesting....With The One still making my every best of list....

Not sure exactly how you want it ranked but it is definitely my least favourite Prince album (excluding instrumental albums. apples + oranges in my opinion) I just don't find it very interesting. It's probably the only Prince album that I don't like at least half of the songs. I love "Wasted Kisses" and "Come On" is pretty good. Other than that I don't really like anything on it. I really don't know what he was thinking with that one. After all the BS with Crystal Ball it was nice to have a new album so quickly but I think it could have been much better.

The last track, Wasted Kissses, makes one wonder why the rest of the record is such a lame product. IMHO, Quite possibly his absolute worst record (but he's not done makin' 'em yet). Unfortunately, one outstanding hidden track does not rescue an entire album.

One word.....horrible.

Until U're In My Arms Again has great vocals and is rumored to have been
written about his son. GREAT SONG!

When U Love Somebody is a great singalong, with some FUNKY horn breaks.

And, if you don't bob your head to COME ON, somethin' is wrong wit cha!

doug e fresh ruined this album. he may have had some good solo material in the 80s, but he pulled a tony m/scrappy d/tc ellis on newpower soul.

wasted kisses is one of p's better tracks. it's unfortunate he has never performed it live...

There are 3 very great tracks on NPS, the rest is so so...

But in my top 50 of Prince songs, there are room for:

The One
Come On
