I think it is called Pt. 1 just to imply that 'the work' is never done and there is always more to come.

No one knows if there are actually any more parts.

IMO, it's to give the title a James Brown-feel (just like the tune). Many great JB singles were released like pt.1 (a-side) and pt.2 (b-side).

Woulda been nice though to have pt. 2 on the single that was released. Just an instrumental extension or a sax version mebbe? like James Brown would have - basically 7" records couldn't hold the funk so he had to fade that shit out and make ya flip the wax for ya next hit!
