the first single release in europe from the musicology album "cinnamon girl" will be released on august 2nd. it will be interesting to see how it does despite the fact i think it is way too late, it should have been released in april when there was some promotion going on for the album.....it looks like there will not be a video which doesnt help nowadays or a b-side which would help its sales so its really looking to pick up some decent airplay on the radio which i feel it might well do....its a good radio song but i think without any video, b-side or good promotion, i think we are looking at a small hit for prince...top 30 uk maybe.....what do you think?

I dunno about the rest of Europe but Musicology (backed by On the Couch) was released in Sweden and Norway before the release of the album. I dont know what number it reached in the offical charts but in one chain in Norway it reached no. 4.

first single in uk.....i forgot the musicology single was only withdrawn in the uk , other parts of europe released it....sorry

´Musicology´was the first single in Belgium,a lot off airplay but hard 2 find.
By the way:I know by concluding an album at each concert putts the album
on the Bilboard charts in the long run,but He hasn´t done any concert in Europe
yet and the album was well received in Holland & Belgium!Top 10 position
in the first month,just 2 prove the album doesn´t only´score´because
it´s ´´for free´at concerts...
