i don't think they're selling the bootlegs, but there are a bunch of bootleg listings in some kind of discography section on MTV's site....with audio samples?!?!?

Whooooaaaaa.

What is really going on???!?!?!?!

(MTV discovered another way for it to make some money with a certain artist's recent revival.)

On MY computer, there is a [Buy Now] button next to each album.

There's an [Add To Cart] button. After that, there's the standard [Check-out] button for placing a credit card order---but it then asked me to sign in. Guess it's only for members of MTV.com.

Is this different on yours?

Somebody please tell me wtf is going on before I pass out from excitement???? If this is true then I have to go home and get my credit card so I can run up a huge debt and if it isn't true then i'm suing the bastards for false advertising

I don't think you can buy them. When you click the button to buy an album it only takes you to the tracklisting; then a dead end.

It's not fair, though, that MTV gets to discuss Prince bootlegs and other sites get shut down. sad

I surfed around and couldn't find a way to buy something. Don't bother. Besides, Prince doesn't receive a dime off the purchase of a bootleg.

This must be a mistake of some sort. I don't think MTV could possibly approve of this; maybe whoever has the job is a big Prince fan? Does MTV do the same for other artists with lots of bootlegs like: Beastie Boys, Beatles, Springsteen, etc.?
