I read a book last year called "Possessed: The Rise and Fall of Prince". I don't know how true this book is but it listed tons of ex protegees as sources.

In the book it mentioned that Lisa and Wendy were lovers and had been for years. The book said Lisa and Wendy were bitching one day and Prince yelled "Look you fucking lesbians, you're going to burn in hell for your lifestyle". It mentioned somewhere else in the book that years later, an ex Revolution member went to Paisley Park to discuss a possible reunion of the Revolution. The book said the ex band member entered to find Prince and Larry Graham having a homophobic discussion and Prince was saying "There will never be a reunion of the Revolution until Lisa and Wendy renounce publicly their lifestyle". The book said the ex band member left there and said he didn't care if he ever saw Prince again.

When I read this it made me sick as hell. I did notice that the author could not get Lisa or Wendy to give him an interview. Nevertheless, this made me look at Prince differently until I saw Wendy with him on Tavis Smiley and heard she performed with Prince at the Essence Festival. This kind of makes me wonder about the credibility of this book.

I think it was on Opera or an interview with Chris Rock (Can't remember) where he was asked about his opinion of GOd's take on "untraditional" behavior and Prince replied that he didn't think God was that type of being or something to that affect.

I can see, however, Larry Graham influencing him since. I mean he once said something that was very offensive to me in relation to women in relationships. He said something to the affect that women want to live like they chose to , but should live the way God chooses them to live--or something like that. The meaning there of course, is that women should obey men.

Did we ever have any proof that Prince was not "cool" with gay people?
