Living up to what the people said

In regard to his reported working habits and perceived behaviour, how much of an influence do you consider the public/media perception of Prince has upon on him? Do you think that Prince consciously trys to live up to these beliefs? For instance, does he work such long hours to partly maintain the notion of him being a workaholic? Does he like to be percieved as eccentric and does he intentionally help sustain it?

Your thoughts?

I think that P does like being thought of as A weird cat. I remember him telling NME magazine in '95 that he "i want people to think i'm insane". Also, in regard to work, he never down-plays his strong work ethic i.e. "what do you do to relax"? "This!" (yeah, prince we know u work hard. Do u read? do u go to the cinema?)

I think he loves his public perception
You do as I say
