yes
I'd like to hear a recording filled with the wisdom and insight accumulated by the musical, political, spiritual, sexual and creative path of Prince. A recording upon which he sings, plays, dances, and jams (and his band too!) with clarity about how his journey of mountain top highs and dark valley lows has never consisted of one lone, wandering belief, but is an accumulation of irreplacable experiences which will ever end. A record which proclaims, with astounding accuracy, how this is true for everyone to the extent that it is true for him: we're all in this together however much it may seem that we dwell beneath separate skies. Each track will tantalizingly celebrate this undying, primary feature of life in unique and various ways, reminding us of where we are in our personal and collective hyper-spiritual journey in this sensual world-garden of both mirage and miracle.
His new record will balance all of the world's chakras, gently opening everyone's glorious mutli-petalled crown to heightened and accelerated tones of awareness and lovingkindness. The universal kundalini will joyfully undulate, ascending and descending until it rests in the cleansing rushes of perfect equilibrium. All that is below will be consumed by all that is above and vice versa. The spheres of the heavens will sing in glorious harmony as a new age commences and all creation participates in the omni-presence of eternal love and understanding.
There will be no more war, no more famine, no more hunger, and sadness will find no place on Earth. We will not know what lies ahead, but we will be confident in our vision and sure in our step that Prince's new album has finally released our planet, and all of its inhabitants, from any negative residue of the karmic wheel: his album will have produced a perfect jewel, the true Stone of the Wise. Passing through this threshold, all living creatures will unite and together drink the timeless well of fresh water for which we all thirsted for too many generations and sing from grassy slope to sun-scorched sand-dune : "Free at last, free at last thank God almighty we are free at last!"

Positivity y'all!

I would like a really wild guitar oriented venture. Not a remake of Purple Rain, but something FRESH that could just show Prince tearing it up with his funky guitar. Prince has written enough ballads in the past 2 years to last us the rest of the 21st Century. Now, how about some straight up rock, with a little funk as a chaser? headbang

Luv & Peace,

Clubbin' in Mpls/A Night w. Prince

That would be awesome.

A collection of 12 catchy, easily accessible, 4 minute songs in which Prince just totally lets rip on guitar, with multi-layered vocals (all by Prince) and a good blend of slow and fast tracks. And real drums.

Like Peach, U Got the Look, etc....

It would probably be seen as a shameless bid to become REALLY popular again. So I reckon he should follow it up 2 months later with NEWS pt 2 - but this time make the 4 songs 28 minutes long each.

And then refuse to play anything live but the 28 minute instrumentals.

And then change his name back to the symbol.

GO ON MY SON!!!! smile

I agree, but I think Prince should just stop giving a fuck. Who cares if the media sees it as a shameless bid to become REALLY popular again (it would work)? Members of the media are receiving $25,000 to $150,000 a year. Prince makes more than that in a night. Why not ignore the bitches in the press (that means you, C.J.) and start ROCKING like his diehard fans all know he can?

Luv & Peace,
Alex

Hasn't it already been said in a couple of articles that his next album will be acoustic versions of his hits?

That would suck. We all saw that when we paid $90.00 for the EXCELLENT Musicology tour. MTV Unplugged died long ago.

I hope Prince doesn't go that route (even though his acoustic set was amazing).

I think he should do the whole CD in S.O.S. telegraph

lol, I feel ya on that note. People just don't appreciate anything that he does. When he gives parties/ performances, people don't look back and say damn that man is so generous with his time and talent to let us come into his house and experience his up and close and personal performances.

I totally agree with Evil White Male this time and I'm not ashamed. I don't agree with him MOST of the time but I like him because he speaks his mind whether anyone else agrees or not.

Not all of us.
I was at the Arizona show & he cut that portion out.
So for any of us that saw that show Prince owes us an accoustic cd.

I would like to hear more Destorted Guitar, but Keep the Funky Guitar Rhythmic Chords Commin' though. I'm not feelin' that "Scratch Thing" any more, that can go. Some Synth Horns this time around would be fine. More Synth Keys (Various)! At any rate, I love all his Creations.

are you referring to the 3 disc set
that Prince told you about during
your numerous late nite phone conversations?
