Best or Favorite songs not released as a single What are your favorite songs not released as a single, didn't get radio play, or was not a hit?
Some of mine are: Private Joy Let's Work Vicki Waiting Blue Light Dolphin Wherever U go, Whatever U do The Same December Zannalee Do U Lie? I like all the rock/pop songs like "Cinnamon Girl", "Damned if I Do", "So Far So Pleased" and I think a version of "Family Name" without the 3-minute prologue could have been a hit on urban radio.
But really, what constitutes a "single" these days? There aren't any you can buy in the store anymore, are there? Isn't a "single" now just a file sent to Clear Channle or Infinity? | |

Songs That Should Have Been Released As Singles (in USA; some were released as singles in other parts of the world but not here):
Baby I'm A Star Girls and Boys Adore (got a lot of radio play but not released) Strange Relationship Vicki Waiting Trust Elephants and Flowers (would have bombed but I would have loved to have heard it on radio) Latest Fashion (not a great song but might have been a bigger hit than New Power Generation) Willing and Able Walk Don't Walk And God Created Woman (such a beautiful song) Letitgo (should have been a bigger hit) Gold (released but should have been a bigger hit) Dark Shy Now In This Bed Eye Scream Jam of the Year White Mansion So Far So Pleased Any number of Musicology songs to be named later These are not all my favorite songs...just songs that might have performed well on the US charts if released or properly promoted. Never understood why ´Strange Relationship´wasn´t a single!!
Same for:The Question of U,Dolphin(seen the clip but no release). Paisley Park was released in Europe but not a hit,The Future was top 10 in Holland & Belgium,Girls&Boys top 20. Love4oneanother | |
