God wrote Head?! Prince recently stated in an interview that he was a mere catalyst for the music. Suggesting, instead, that the songs we credit him for are instead creations of a higher power. Considering this, It would seem hyporcritical for Prince to censor himself due to current beliefs if at the same time he is claimin that it is his god that gave him the music. If God wrote 'Head' then is it wrong for prince to refuse to play it? And if it IS wrong then why did God write it?
peronally i don't give a monkeys, i dont mind the lyric changes. I just thought that it was an interesting point. Also, sorry for the lack of referencing - perhaps somebody in the know can tell me in which interview he said this. You do as I say

Why does everyone feel the necessity to decide what forum something should be in? dont we have moderators for that. (Insert something clever here)

Why does everyone feel the necessity to decide what forum something should be in? dont we have moderators for that. It's a sport. Why does everybody feel the necessity to keep complaining about what others do? It's the nature of forums. Look up the bleeding word FORUM. Anyways... God discussions belong in the Religion and Politics forum, even when taking into account the music link.

I think the thread is in the correct forum. Although God is mentioned, the Post is deals primarily with the question of - If Prince now believes that his music must be censored to fit in with his curent spiritual/religious beliefs then how can he at the same time claim that his God is the actual author of the songs. it is dealing with hypocracy as it doesnt make any sense at all and is totally contraditory. You'll never know a girl called Nikki and you'll never find Erotic City

Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!
