Musicology Is Coming to a T.V. Near You!

In the News Section of boxingtalk, u will find the following News:

'.. In addition, on the same day they will be showing a live concert with the artist formally known as Prince in the same vicinity as Klitschko before the fight. Similar to what they did with Mike Tyson & Jay-Z back in February of 2003 on Pay Per View. Except only this time Showtime will be making this event free of charge even for people who currently do not subscribe to Showtime..'

http://www.boxingtalk.net/

But it's not confirmed till now!!!!

I think Universaluv meant because they said FORMALLY instead of FORMERLY. Two different words, two different meanings. Like when people write "of" instead of the contraction for "have." Like "I should OF done this..." when it should be "I SHOULD'VE done this..."

That really bugs the crap out of me for some reason...

I hope that rumor is true. I also hope that the opening Musicology show at the Staples Center in L.A. from March 29th will be released on DVD.

Last night at the After Party, he played Wednesday night's Madison Square Garden show for us. The quality was amazing and actually sounded better than the real concert. It was almost like being there. It was a trip after Sheila E was on the screen and then she stood up so people could applaud. I guess she was eating dinner with Prince and Chris Rock, etc. The after party was fun, even though he didn't perform.

Such strong words. What are you...5 years old? I'm sure that the reason behind his name change was too complicated for you to understand, therefore you felt the need to share with all of us your ignorant comment. Black people change their names all of the time for various reasons. Muhammad Ali changed his name. So you think he's dumb as well? Wait a minute...it doesn't matter what an ignorant person thinks. Nevermind. You've made yourself look like a dumbass with that stupid, childish comment.

Prince never chose to change his name. The system 'that the devil designed" took it off him. So Prince had to go find another one for a while. Crazy world, but its home.

There was a quality and an energy to that show that was once in a lifetime - the emotion and the commitment to the performance and just EVERYTHING was so exhilirating and brilliant and iconic. It would be a shame if that show weren't released on DVD.

Uh-huh, I hear you. Did you know that it wasn't Prince's decision to wear the infamous assless pants on the MTV Awards? The "system that the devil designed" picked them out for him. So Prince had to hang his ass out on worldwide TV for a while. Crazy world, but it's home. wink

(I really am assuming the answer is "yes" to this, 'cause you're an org'er, but....)

Do you know the story behind Prince changing his name, blueangel?

We must have crossed lines at some point here, Butta. I'm not sure to which question you are answering "yes" because I'm an orger, whatever that means. I'm also on Housequake and amp and NPGMC when I get really bored, if that matters at all.

And um, yes, I know all about Prince changing his name. To say that he didn't choose to change his name is ludicrous.

If an artist wishes to be all that he can be then Prince had to change his name. The western system tried to truncate him. Do employment arrangements in general truncate peoples ability / aspirations?
