Was Prince born that way ?

Last night at the concert, all I did was stare at his tiny figure on stage and just kept wonderin " How can anyone be that gifted ?"

I know he taught himself to play many different instruments when he was young ..but is his gift something that God gave him or something he learned by taking lessons + etc. ??

I just can't believe how God can touch someone so little with that much talent ..

His songs mean more to me than anything in this world . HIS MUSIC IS THE ONLY FRIEND I HAVE.

I taught him everything he knows!...

I still remember how hard it was for him to grasp the importance of the 2 & 4...

Also, he wasn't a very good listener...

I told him a countless amount of times to clean his hands before playing his guitar after eating chicken!... grease.

I don't think he'll ever learn.

Just don't go around believing he's Jesus Christ in the flesh and you'll be fine.

That type of talent...eh, it's a gift, but it's also something that has to be worked at to continue to be able to exhibit its development. Use it, or lose it.

and there it is. being good at whatever it is you do ain't exactly "god-given"...you gotta work at it and keep it up in order to make it truly stick.

like me: i wasn't born knowin how to draw or how to tell stories through art, but some folks have sworn up n'down that i have. ain't too hard, really, i've just been spendin a 3rd of my life perfecting my craft. nothing really happens overnight...save for maybe in the movies.

it definitely shows that Prince has evolved as a musician, singer and dancer. He also has never stopped playing...he probably even plays in his sleep.

Born with it.
When you've seen him up close open up that guitar, turn his face to heaven and seen the music pour down and out through his guitar you just know it's god-given and for a reason.

Yea, I raised an eyebrow on that one too hmm

But since we find ourselves on the subject of size, who knows - if P was "normal" size he might have veered off in some other direction. He loves him some basketball - he might be on the bench in Italy right now or something. Thank God for his gift of talent & his drive to be the best @ what he does, my ears (and eyes!) are certainly grateful touched smile horny
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Definitely.....if P was an average size man, I don't think the would be person he is today and doing what he is doing. He had to push the envelope and overachieve in order to get noticed and be heard. His height is a blessing in disguise...IMHO.. biggrin

I think it's both, born with it and hard work and perseverance. I've seen some of your work and I would feel you have a talent you were born with....I couldn't draw like that no matter what.
