I've been hearing that he was in negotiations with both Showtime and HBO. I hope a show date works out, one way or the other.

More information below:

Klitschko – Whittaker on Oct 2nd?
By. Ray O. Campbell Jr.

Reliable sources have informed boxingtalk.com that former WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will be making his return to the ring on Showtime in a championship boxing telecast October 2nd. Boxingtalk understand that Lance Whitaker is the clear-cut front-runner though we have yet to receive any official confirmation. In addition, on the same day they will be showing a live concert with the artist formerly known as Prince in the same vicinity as Klitschko before the fight. Similar to what they did with Mike Tyson & Jay Z back in February of 2003 on pay per view. Except only this time Showtime will be making this event free of charge even for people who do not subscribe to Showtime. Obviously this the networks way of sticking it to HBO who will be holding a pay per view event that headlines the return of Puerto Rican superstar Felix Trinidad against Nicaraguan bad boy Ricardo Mayorga on the same night. Ouch!

One of the recent articles on P mentioned a possible Showtime concert...and they did mention that Prince was demanding that the channel's signal be unscrambled for the show.
Prince said HBO wanted "too much control"...guess they haven't followed this man's career in the last 10 years.
