Prince article in "Film & Video" magazine

A co-worker was about to throw away his July 2004 issue of "Film and Video" magazine (he gets many free subscriptions to video and web magazines), when he noticed that it contained a two-page article on the simulcast of the March 29th Staples Center show.

Thought it might be an interesting read to some folks. I looked around the magazine's web site, but couldn't find the article to post on here (they may be backlogged, or I just can't search correctly).

I've scanned the pages for you.

Hope this wasn't already posted! smile

Um, the Musicology tour didn't open in L.A. Give "the biggest little city" (Reno) some respect, damn!

Wrong the Regal in neighborhood is not showing 911 because the manager felt it was to controversial.

Okay, that's the one in YOUR neighborhood. The way it was worded made it appear that the entire chain is not showing it, which is not the case. Its showing at BOTH the Regal Theaters near me.

Officially, the Reno show was a "warm up" gig. The official tour opener was the LA show.

Um, HOW is that wrong??...?The guy above did NOT say "The manager of one of the Regal theatres in Laura Richardson's neighborhood is not showing Fahrenheit 9/11"...he said Regal Theatres is one of the "big companies that has refused" to show it...that means the entire stinkin' company, not just what's within driving distance of you. He made it sound like a company-wide decision handed down to all the theatres, which I pointed out was wrong.
