"Silver Tongue" at NPGMC.
what do you think? i like it. very ONA-ish. lovely. "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

anything where you can hear his wonderful voice this clearly is worth repeated listens...
upon first listen, i was underwhelmed... just as under whelmed as I was with 'u're gonna c me'and 'have a heart'. I've grown to love those tracks. Such beautiful simplicity.

its a nice b-side, but nothing major in the cannon.
might be nice to get lyrics for it though. would probably add to my appreciation.

I like it alot. Just downloaded it and really like to hear just Prince on the piano.

This is definitely the most boring Prince song I have ever heard.
He's been crap before, but this is one of the only times I've heard him be BORING.

On the bottom banner, it does say it's a demo - whatever that means, sounds finished to me, unless he intends to release another version.
I quite like it, it's fun to hear Prince do differently produced stuff again, there's no faux-"urban" beat, no cringe-worthy slang. I like these downloads, I think they work out at about 25p - I'd even buy the shittiest Prince track for 25p!! I just wish they weren't .wma - and I'd still like to see some Vault stuff, maybe a couple of songs a month, voted by fans or something.

Fuck, I stretched my creditcard to the limit and now I can't download this
I'm gonna die if I don't get this new Prince track the day it was released *cough cough* and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Costa's relationship with the artist formerly known as the Artist began when he started covering her "Push & Pull" in concerts a couple of years ago. She eventually joined him onstage for the song, which was filmed for a live DVD. "That was amazing 'cause I'm such a fan and he's been so cool," Costa said. "[Afterward,] I said, 'I want to write with you on my record,' and he was like, 'Send me a poem.' I said OK and sent him a poem, and he came back and MP3ed me this beautiful kind of jazz thing with him singing it. It's really cool." The song, titled "Silver Tongue," is more mellow than Costa's typical party tracks, but the rest of the album heads in the opposite direction. // Lyrics by Nikka Costa, music by Prince. So I presume this is on her new album?

So I presume this is on her new album? Yeah, but it'll be her singing it on her album not Prince. What we got is Prince's demo. Now if only he's dip in the vault and release his demo versions of songs he gave to people in the past. That'd be cool.

what do you think? I can't get into it. It sounds like a slowed down, less memorable "Under the Cherry Moon" (which is a ballad I've always loved). I just find it boring. Oh well, they can't ALL be winners. Luv & Peace, Alex Clubbin' in Mpls/A Night w. Prince

So I presume this is on her new album? Actually, he didn't start covering it until AFTER he had invited her to his Celebration a few years back. Seems he really dug her first album. Anyhoo, just thought I'd correct those knuckleheads at VH1! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones.
