OK.... let's say, for example, you don't know anything about Prince, no baggage, nothing. But, lately, you've started hearing that there's this musician called Prince, and some people really rate him, some even say he's a 'genius', like. 'really good', and 'important force in music to be reckoned with". etc, etc.
One day, you're out shopping with your mum, and bored, you break away, and make your way to the 'ENTERTAINMENT' section of your local supermarket, having little money of your own, you look for the cheapest CDs and stumble across a series of CD for £3.99. Harry Belefonte, Otis Redding, George Benson, Charles Aznovor... whatever, like, who are these guys? 'Oh yeah, I heard of Prince... I'll buy that, it's only £3.99.' Will my imaginary person really then think, that this double CD IS PRINCE? (Although it's 94 East but the label has 'PRINCE' far more prominnt so I think it's PRINCE. I ask you! Isn't that a shame....? Mis-representation or what? Me (infinitetrio) sees it as a document of early Prince... but may be there are different angles on all this. Oh..... boy... we're in trouble now. ------------------------------------------------

I was thinking the same thing. At least Minneapolis Genius said what it was, who performed on what, and what year he worked on these songs. This new one don't even mention what year Prince did these songs. Is there a booklet? If not, this is very misleading. Did Prince really play on all these songs? | |
