Did Prince ever work with Roger Troutman? I was wondering if Prince ever recorded any trax with Roger Troutman (Zapp frontman). I know Zapp toured with Prince as a support act during Prince's 'Controversy' tour so was wondering if they worked 2gether or not? | |

No!,but from hangin around ZAPP and even Bootsy they all digged P and said that he acknowledged them as bein influences. P saw similarities with the music scenes in Cincinnati and Minny. The musicians were alike in dedication and were about the 1! U,ME,WE!....2FUNKY! | |

As far as I know, they haven't worked together. That would be a hell of a collaboration though. Roger Troutman was great! Roger and Zapp was one of the funkiest bands ever. Andy is a four letter word. | |

I don't believe there is any known evidence ofPrince and Troutman having recorded together.

Thanx 4 the info. I'd like 2 hear some stories about hangin' around Zapp. Perhaps u could post them on the org?. That would b real cool and thanx 4 visiting my Roger & Zapp website too!
