Excellent thread, fair play to Supafunkyorgangrindersexy. Top words. I do love this period of Prince (Come-Gold Experience-Exodus). U can hear that he's digging deeper into himself than in any other period of his career, and it's pretty damn dark and enlightening at the same time. Still find it hard that Come doesn't get the respect it deserves, but that's the albatross of all the great eighties stuff he's created. Excellent album, a tonic to the bloat of previous albums, and I think that the acoustic version of Space is the best...like a warm, beautiful breeze. | |
