I was at night 3 of the ONA tour in Wash DC when this man walked out on stage in street clothes and a hat with a guitar while Prince was singing. Turns out it was none other than Mr. Carlos Santana himself, who then proceeded to turn out a blistering solo on Joy In Repetition. The crowd went nuts.
Anybody else have a similar story?

Exactly one week ago at the Essence Festival when Chaka Khan walked onstage and did "Sweet Thing" with the master. Still on a high from that one.

June 13th, 2000, Prince: A Celebration. Prince walked out onstage and started singing my all-time favorite song, one that I never thought he would perform again after the Lovesexy tour.

at the last celebration when he started days of wild from the back of the auditorium, acapella chanting and drumming and the band blowing horns, marched right by me through the crowd to the stage... or later in the week... empty room....

wait... when he took all of us mid concert to see "minority report"

When he wore my Raybans at The Forum aftershow in 1993 - playing 2 about 150 people a few hours after playing to 85,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. Never gave me them back though, jammy bastard.

At a suprise PR concert at a club called BOGART'S in Cincinnati. It was supposed 2b 'The Red,Hot&Blue Ball' featuring a performance by Appollonia 6 and a new band from the Minny scene called Red,Hot&Blue and a meet and greet with special guest host Jerome Benton from the TIME. It was the 1st time that the song EROTIC CITY was played....it was the 12inch version. Anyway they played P songs as well as every artist that was in the movie's songs and also showed the videos. The DJ announced that they we're going 2 play 1 more video(When Doves Cry) and then we would get a performance from the new band. So the video of WDC finishs the screen raises up from in front of the stage and there was so much smoke that u could'nt see a thing except 4 that spot light P use 2 have on stage blinking on&off....and then we heard 'Dearly beloved we r gathered hear 2day 2 get thru this thing we call life' and P walks out and poses and makes that sillohette that u see at the beginning of the movie. The place went totally nuts. That was the loudest 1,300 people i have ever heard. And needless 2 say that this was 1 of those classic small club concerts. U should've been there. Awesome!

How about standing arms length away and all you could do was smile? He was standing right next to me in the Love4oneanother room right by the sound board!! I didn't want to stare or invade his personal space but I do know one thing ... he smelled so good! BTW.. Mani is cute too! They were holding hands and caressing and stuff---ah love!!!!

And hearing Empty Room (at the 2002 Celebration) and finally finding a copy of the song to play ova and ova and ova again...that was the best!!

standing at the front of the stage at Glam Slam LA and seeing the beginning of his 1993 (?) tour (symbol album as I recall)

It was so great being 2 feet from him. He kept staring me down looking at my chest! lol.

I also met another girl that night and we dated for almost two years so that was a great night all around!!! lol.

Finally getting to an aftershow party (Hippodrome , London 1998). Talking to Mike Scott then Prince turning up and playing for the best part of 2 hours. Life affirming will never forget it!!

Prince telling me I looked like a car ran over me and that I needed some sleep...
And him looking like he wasn't tired at all....THAT was suprising!

i'll add one more..though not a "best" surprise...at thi small club in Southeast DC (it was called Nations back then, i think 1998)...it was when NPS came out...there were like 1500 peeps there, sold out like crazy...i remember seeing R&B singer Alyson Williams (sleep talk, just call my name, my love is raw) there in the SAME FUCKING OUTFIT that she wore 2 days before when i saw her at this little ass pub singing to these taped tracks....anyhoos...me and my best friend spot this blond headed black guy witha lil afro..so of course, being the drunk assholes we are, we start screaming "Hey Dennis!!, ya know, like Dennis Rodman...he just looked at us and gave us the gun finger (ya know, like gotcha,,ha ha)..well we were amused until he went and got up on stage and then realized it was Mr. Hayes...we felt bad, but fuck it we had a blast anyway. That's still my alltime favorite Prince show.
True Story

Prince handing me HIS cow bell and drum stick and telling me to play it while he danced in front of me a CLUB BLACK!What a great time and item !I have both of them in a glass case!!

After his concert (Hit nad RUN) here in San Diego. Prince came to a club call "CANES". I was sitting in a corner of the club and in comes Prince and the NPG. He sat right across from me. Security closed off the section and there I was chilling with Prince and the NPG.

Having Ophélie Winter dancing next 2 me in the crowd.

I was damn 15 years old with glasses, how was i supposed 2 talk 2 her & finish the nite with her...

Should have happened in 1998 !!!

Best surprise I had was walking into the arena at the wrong enterance and lookinging for my seat number...gradually getting closer to teh front....until second row!!!!

I was saying on teh car journey there that I would love to hear him play some of the stuff taht he hasnt done before and,at the time, I was big on I Love U In Me, Pink Cashmere and the slow ones....he played those 2 and more.
