At about 2:41 into the song (around the lyric "I wouldn't change a stroke...) I just noticed a low drone voice. I was wondering if any of you Prince experts new the subliminal message Prince is using to brain wash us on the is. The only Prince hidden message I know is the "So I fucked their man, what the fuck do they know all all they taste is on whats in their mouth really what the fuck do they know. C'mon baby let's go..." at the beginning of Baby I'm a Star. I can't hear the last word in that one though, if someone knows that would be cool too.

I havent got Baby Im A Star here to check...but the last time I heard it I think it actually say soemthing like "They say I/He likes the Boys/Men..." Then goes on to the "what the fuck do they know" bit.

Theres tons of these things all through Princes work.

Listen to the album....crank up the phonecalls in yor earphones (especially teh one just before Sacrafice of Victor - these things are riddled with prince whispering things in the background and people talking

When I first read your post, I was at work and I thought you were a raving fucking lunatic. When I got home, I pulled out the vinyl and turned one of my turntables. I have two DJ turntables and they both have a switch that you can flip to make them play backwards. I can play them backwards at ease without having to turn them backwards with my finger. I went to "Baby Im A Star" and put the needle on the record. I listened to the track, I didn't hear anything unusual. I flipped the switch back to normal. At the front of the song, after Prince said 1, 2, 3, uh...I heard a crowd or an audience, females, probably Lisa, Wendy, or both. As I listened closely, I could tell it was backwards. I flipped the switch and listened to it three or four times to make sure. I couldn't believe it! You are absolutely correct!!!!

It is something backwards. I wouldn't exactly call it a message though. It is women...it sounds like Lisa or Wendy saying "I fucked your man.....etc." If you listen closely towards the end of the song, you will hear the "crowd" again. It is the same thing.

You caught my interest, you didn't tell us the backwards phrase was spoken by women. I thought it was Prince admitting to homosexuality. I wouldn't be surprised though, it would be kinda hooooottttt!!!!!

Nevertheless, I am impressed. I am a huge Prince fan since day one and I am quick to down anyone who jumped on the Prince bandwagon with "Little Red Corvette" but you showed me something I never noticed before and I give you props for that.

Now as for "Raspberry Beret", I noticed you mentioned minutes. How the hell did you get the CD to play backwards. Who knows.

Another thing, I notice "Girl" has backwards phrases in it. I'm going to see what I can find out.
