JUST GOT THE VAULT AND I LOVE IT

has anyone else gotten theirs yet? It is much smaller than I thought, but that makes it easier to take with me. I wish it had some pictures but it is an amazing book and it is going to take me weeks to get thru everything. How do they get this sort of info. These people are obsessed.

Tell me what all of you thought!

You don't think it is a big book? I think with the small print it's like reading the bible!

It's amazing how much of where and what Prince was upto is known. I wonder if he'll ever see a copy? I bet he'd be mortified - it is like stalkersville taken to the nth degree - especially with someone who likes his privacy! Imagine if someone gave you a book detailling all your movements over the last 20 years - "On the 23rd of April 1989, metalorange went to a cornershop and bought some volvic water and a kit-kat. It is not known if the kit-kat was the 2-fingered or 4-fingered variety".

I'm enjoying dipping in and out of sections of the book. I don't necessarily agree with all of 'uptowns' opinions - for instance, they write off a favourite track of mine 'The Exodus Has Begun' simply by saying it contains "no musical merit"! Also they have a terrible habit of 'quoting lyrics' without 'actually' going on to 'explain the meaning' behind the lyrics, as though quoting them is self-explanatory.

I'm finding it amazing reading about all the songs Prince has writing credits on other people's albums - a lot more than I thought. And it is frustrating hearing about tracks that are unreleased as yet and we may never get to hear!

I think the idea is they publish an update every year - I almost wish I'd waited and bought next year's copy, since it will chronicle the productive and busy time Prince has had this year.

Because Abe wasn't the first president of the USA, he was the 16th, George Washington was the first.
