Believe it or not I was once stupid enough to dislike this song I dunno what it was but when the album first dropped I would scan (no skip, lol) past this one. I just sounded like noise to me for some reason.

But it eventually grew on me & I love it, had it on repeat for 2 days now!

For absolutely ages I bypassed the 'Lovesexy' album, wondering what the fuss was about and almost feeling guilty that I didn't seem to revere it as much as other Orgers. (I think a lot of it to do was the fact that it was a continuous, single track and - as much as I liked the individual songs - it used to infuriate me that I couldn't just skip to, say, 'I Wish U Heaven' or the title track. And when you're listening to it on your Discman and you rewind it back to the start by mistake... AAAAARGH! ).

Everything changed, however, when I discovered the 'tracked' edition a few years back and - ever since - it's become one of my FAVOURITE Prince albums. I started to pay more attention to individual songs and fell in love with the whole concept.

As for the title track, there's not a week that goes by without me listening to it. I LOVE it!!! Definitely one of the best title-track songs, in my opinion. It just picks me up, whisks me off and puts me back down in a purple frenzy This track demands to be played loud!

God, I hope he plays this live again.

I'm sorry but Lovesexy the song is crap

That song kicks all kinds of ass!! I'll still say he should have done a radio-friendly edit of the track and released it as a single. Like so many of his 80s songs, DJs would have picked up on the album version and began spinning it. I was always a tad bit sad that this tune didn't make it into the clubs.
