He will almost certainly be nominated, though at this point it's difficult to say for what besides the obvious r n b and vocal categories. If Cinnamon Girl has some impact, he could perhaps even get a "homage" nomination in pop or rock categories.
The Grammies basically reward acts that are critically acclaimed AND commercially successful, not necessarily in that order. Of course, often songs win because they are palatable and massively popular, simply because of their pop impact. People like Prince can count on a fondness for rewarding triumphant comebacks. If NEWS could get a nomination, so can Musicology. | |

Well....since 1996 when Celine Dion's album Falling Into You won best album of the year over Beck's "Odelay" and Smashing Pumpkin's "Melancollie and Infinite Sadness" I don't give a shit 4 the grammies...better yet..if u say that some album won a grammy I'll be bound 2 think that the album is a crap...I never cared much about grammies even b4 1996...when I remember that SOTT and Gold didn't win... ...but in 1996 they crossed the the borderline 4 me
