recorded around the same time (often in the same sessions). In the end though, the 'solo' Prince tracks ended up on Come and the 'full band' tracks ended up on The Gold Experience. There were many early versions of both albums where tracks freely swapped between albums. Personally, I'd love to have seen one of the early ideas for these tracks followed through, and that was for a sprawling double or triple album entitled 'The Dawn' to released instead. see? Mr. Paw, may i be so bold as to ask what the tracklist for 'The Dawn' was to include? That is very interesting indeed "Whatever skin we're in

TGE is in my top 5. I love 'Gold' and the guitar solo at the end of 'Endorphinmachine'.

I thought he did the Come tracks before The Undertaker (and supposedly did the first Come configuration in late May '93) and then recorded The Gold Experience and Chaos And Disorder tracks afterwards. Sure, he did some reworkings of some of the Come tracks prior to The Beautiful Experience. I liked the idea of releasing Come and Gold simultaneously with Come being advertised on Gold by the NPG Operator during Interactive, tying them together as kind of a double album that was all good. Too bad Warners nixed the idea. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

I really love I hate U and think the rest of the CD is worthwhile. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack
