I took about a 7 year hiatus from Prince and I am just now getting back into the game. I am trying to reupdate my collection because I seem to have lost some albums over the last few years. I knew that TGE was out of print, but I found that at a used cd store the other day so I snatched it up. What else should I be picking up immediately if I find it????

I think 'Rave' is but I'm not sure.

Pretty much all Non-WB releases are deleted (obviously apart from the most recent ones).
And of course the Black Album.

The good thing is....there's always ebay!!!

SOTT is not out of print. As for the main WB albums as far as I can tell only TGE and Batman, and The Black Album are out of print although I suspect Come and Chaos might be as well. The rest of the albums are all available at Best Buy.

The only albums you can't get in the U.K are The Black Album, The Gold Experience and Crystal Ball. Some of the others are hard to find but they're still available.

It took me 2 years to find TGE cause it's outta print. Some Prince fan burnt me a copy and printed everything and printed the CD and barcode and all and sent it to me. You can't tell the difference (other than the paper's not old-looking).

I went to Camden yesterday and went into the Vinyl stow and saw For You but it was £50 (about $100) and I was like errr no way, then I went and explored what used to be the NPG Store.
Then I went to an amazing Turkish tea place with Shisha's and had some fun , but I side-track.

All the 90s albums up to NEWS are discontinued, it's jus they still there cause no one wants to buy em.

Probably the hardest to find...is TGE and Black album & Come...don't see that too often(weren't they released at the same time?).

Hard to believe PRINCE has out of print stuff!

The Black Album was designed to be a short lived project with a certain number of cds and cassettes made.After the 1 million or so copies were made they stopped making them.

Actually, thinking about it - I'd say all his albums up to NEWS are outta print here in the UK. Every single one. I haven't seen PR in a wrecka stow for years. The only P album that's always there is "The Very Best of"

Depends where you are. In Australia I can find most albums new or second hand. Pretty much all of them are able to be found!

I'm telling you, folks. I don't know how Circuit City is near you (if you have one near you), but in the Chicago area, I think they have the craziest stock of cds for a major chain. It's like they never purge old titles! They are unorganized and not that large in volume, but at the three closest Circuit Citys near me, I have found in recent months all of Prince's albums (at one store or another), ALL of The Time's stuff...I SHOULD go look for some Sheila E. there...and I KNOW that's out of print.

I've always been partial to a new copy. If you're that way too and can find a Circuit City, just check it out and see. When I picked up my "Controversy" the other day, there were 2 copies of "Batman," a "Prince," 2 "For You"s, a "Gold Experience," etc. Crayzeee!
