From what I've read on this website
these seem to be the 2 most praised songs
and I was wondering which song is the true
fan favorite? I know everybody is going to say
that they love both of them but just for shits and giggles
pick 1.

Thats tough. I'd say musically Adore. However The Beautiful Ones has personal meaning for me and can leave me in tears if I'm feeling that way out.

Adore by a mile...and I love The Beautiful Ones. I just think Adore sums it all up...the feeling of new love, the undying devotion, the importance of one's lover over material things. the multitrack voices...and the angelic chorus at the end...the song still gives me chills. Adore is Prince at the top of his game and in the elite group of Prince songs; the Beautiful Ones is bubbling under, just a level below that.

Yeah, I know that many fans like "Adore". I mean, the song is not bad, but I don't really dig this one.
I prefer "The Beautiful Ones", definitely.

The subject matter of both songs is completely different, which is why it's watermelons compared to bananas. Completely different emotions.

The Beautiful Ones squeaks by Adore for me...it's so damn haunting and beautiful...plus, I tend to be drawn towards love songs that speak of pain and ache, always have.

But, damn...Adore could be my pick if you asked me tomorrow...
