Perhaps orgers just don't want to have to deal with that. Although a person's gender may be one thing, their sex may be a whole other story. (p.s. excuse any errors in this post and feel free to correct them, as my knowledge regarding gender studies is quite limited!) I haven't scrolled down yet to see if anyone else has mentioned this, but it's the opposite. Just switch your definitions between "sex" and "gender," and you've got it right!
