WHEN I STARED HIM IN THE FACE AND HE DIDN'T SAY ONE WORD.

Seeing him at one of the Paisley Park shows a few years back, he walked out on to the speaker directly in front of me, sat down, and jammed on his guitar. I could have reached out and grabbed his ankle easily since I was only two feet or so away from him.

Well, aside from giving him a high-five at the 2002 Celebration, watching him perform "Paisley Park" at Paisley Park, front row at the 2001 Hit & Run Tour... too many to name, but the one that stands out the most would be:

WHEN PRINCE DID 1999 TOUR AT MASONIC TEMPLE, HE DID 2 SHOWS A NIGHT FOR A WHOLE WEEK IN DETROIT AND WE HAD TICKETS FOR THE MIDNIGHT SHOW AND WE WERE WAITNIG FOR THE BUS AND SOMEBODY SHOUTED THERE'S VANITY. WE RAN TO THE BACK STAGE DOORS AND SAW THE TIME COME OUT AND SECURITY TOLD US THAT PRINCE HAD ALREADY LEFT, WE DIDN'T BELIEVE HIM AND OUT COMES CHICK, A BIG MASSIVE MAN AND LIL PRINCE I RAN UP TO HIM AND SAID HEY PRINCE HE GAVE A TINY SMILE AND GOT IN THE VAN WHICH HAD A LADDER ON THE BACK AND OF COURSE I JUMPED ON IT, RODE TO THE END OF THE PARKING LOT AND IT WAS ABOUT 3:30 A.M. THAT WAS THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE, WENT TO SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY AND SLEPT THROUGH EVER CLASS

Ditto this memory, but for me it was in Greensboro, NC October 16, 1988. Words can not do it justice.

1. paisley park, probably in 1999 or 2000, and he was playing 'days of wild' right behind me (in the Back of the smaller room at paisley) and i didn't even realize it til half way through. i turned briefly around, and there was ol' boy (by himself in a little chair with wheels), playing 3 feet from me. why was i staring at the stage? it was that busted white rapper kid -- who was that again?

2. the joy in repetition guitar solo from the 3rd paisley aftershow this year. good goddamn! i ain't never seen (or heard) his guitar smoke like that.

3. worst most memorable: KICKING HIM IN THE LEG on the 3rd or 4th nite of celebration (2002). i was trying to crack my knee (a lot of standing that nite), and before i knew it i just gave it to his shin. p. was walking around in the back area, near the soundboard. funny thing is, big bodyguard didn't notice. even stranger, it didn't really seem like prince noticed either. maybe he really does have a wooden leg...

I remember when P did those concerts at the Masonic Temple, for 5 nights straights, 2 shows a night. I was in the 9th grade, going to Cass at the time, which is down the street... so my friend and I went over to the box office to get tickets to one of the shows...when we got up to the window, we were told that they only had single seats...we started discussing whether we should go ahead and buy the tixs even though we wouldn't be sitting together. In those few seconds, the tixs ended up being sold at another location. All the other shows were sold out. I was so damn furious. I was literally depressed the night of those concerts because I wasn't there. I remember one night my grandma asked me why I was looking so sad and I told her that the Prince concert was going on and I wasn't there.. My friend and I did get a chance to see the tour when he came back and did a show in Ann Arbor...

My most memorable Prince moment was the first time I saw him in concert when he opened up for Rick James. I was in the 5th grade. I was in love.. Watching that lil' man prance around that stage in those bikini drawers, trench coat, heels and black thigh highs..good lawd..he almost gave my 10 yr old self a heart attack..

When he ACTUALLY CARED when I wore this Tiny,Teenie Black MINI with Silver Zippers all Over and like these Black Thighs highs with Zippers, and a Belly Top and me the blond well he It was the LOVESEXY time he Came to the End of the Stage and did this Claing Motion and Growled at me...I SWEAR to You...PRINCE WAS That WILD ANIMAL.....I Also would say my First EVEr Concerts as a teen going to PURPLE Rain...Seeing Prince and being in The Purple Circle while Prince wore those See-Throughs and Sang HOW COME U DON"T CALL ME??? I MISS THAT...ALSO MIAMI Shows at His BIRTHDAY....

listening to sign o' the times for the first time ever, the day it came out...on vinyl, no less

...when I saw him for the very first time at Webster Hall w/o expeciting and just a couple of feet away...that was a very pleasant suprise, and I'm very thankful for that.
