Prince, at Chicago's Vision Nightclub

http://people.aol.com/peo...57,00.html

Prince, at Chicago's Vision Nightclub after his packed concert at Allstate Arena, before rescheduling his four remaining Windy City shows due to a death in the family of one of his band members. The Purple One and his party of eight danced in Vision's lower-level Lair, played pool, and mingled with the crowd until the club closed at 4 a.m. Though Prince doesn't drink (he's a Jehovah's Witness), our spies tell us he tipped the bartenders anyway.

"Though Prince doesn't drink (he's a Jehovah's Witness), our spies tell us he tipped the bartenders anyway"

Side note! Jehovahs Witnesses dont have a rule saying people cant drink!
The Bible discourages getting drunk. Abusing alcohol.
Jeses turned water into wine at a wedding feast in the bible.
Drinking is a personal choice.

What's up with that? They think the reason he doesn't drink is because he's a Witness? Witnesses drink plenty! Scratch that, reverse it.
I'm gonna have to hip P to some Bud Light. dunce

P was notorious for NOT being a drinker long before he became a Witness.

Well if Prince isn't drinking it's a new thing. He's never been like a boozehound but he always had some wine or other spirits when he was out on the town.

If that's the case, then why was Larry Graham drinking a Corona beer at a hotel bar when I ran into him about six years ago? Although I know very little about the Jehovah's Witnesses, I've read that their religion allows the use of alcohol, albeit in moderation.

Your exactly right! Some people may not like the religion but atleast get your facts strait dayumit! No where in the Bible, in JW, or any other christain religion is drinking prohibited.

Wine is used at catholic masses and at the Jehovahs Witnesses memorial of Jesus death.

im not saying that they dont choose to drink....

let me rephrase this.

in my limited experience with jw, of which my exboyfreind was for 5 years. he, nor any member of his kindom hall, were allowed to drink alcoholic bevereages or do drugs of any kind. in his particular group it was viewed that alcohol and drugs were on in the same....and they were not allowed to do it. i do not practice the religion.... so i do not have the biblical verses to back this up. i was only posting what my experience has showed me.

People dont always follow religion they way they should or are supposed to. thats a known fact. and people have a funnny way of using things to jusitfy what they do in their own lives.

now....im done. boxed

didnt make the shit bold that i wanted bold edit. err

Just to be clear. Jehovahs Witnesses, the Bible and all other christain religions dont require this. As I said before. Your boyfriend and that group may have chosen to do that. But it is not a Biblical or JW rule, that you can't drink.

Now lets go get drunk!....drink

Kacey725

I read in the Chicago Tribune this past Sunday that he liked this club and was thinking of doing an aftershow here when he returns to make up his Chicago dates instead of the rumored Excalibur after-show.

Anyone know any more on this?

(I know I'm probably posting this in the wrong spot...sorry non-Chicago people...I love you!)
