THE HEIR

The pitch: "American Idol" meets "The Apprentice."

The premise: Prince invites 12 musicians to Paisley Park to evaluate their abilities in songwriting, mixing, stage presence and all-around purpleness. The winner gets a recording contract with his label and a chance to meet Sheena Easton. Each week, he dismisses a contender with the catch phrase "Gett off."
