4 The Tears In Your Eyes - which version?

Do you prefer the B-Sides version or the We Are The World version?

Personally, I'm not sure (which is why I started this thread!)...

Both crapola so it's hard to say.

Why don't u devote a thread to a decent track Despues? What's your favourite unreleased track?

While the B-side version is interesting for the live sound (it was essentially the audio to the video they showed at the Live Aid concert, I think), I do prefer the version from the charity album. Just cleaner and better mixed.

I've been giving both a listen and I have to say I agree....it is more urgent-sounding and yes, better mixed.

Yep, it is quite different! as others said, it is cleaner with very mid 80's production on it- words are alot easier/clearer 2 hear 2! The "We r the world" album version is alot better in my book- nice words, sweet song.....

b-sides version. there's just something about the up-tempo arrangement of the album version that sounds off. so does the singing.....

The USA for Africa version sounds more like "Around the World in a Day".

The B-sides version sounds more like "Parade".

It's all about context. They both work well.

The B-Sides version is slower with sparser instrumentation and I think it has different lyrics.

The We Are The World version is faster, with more 80s rock production and has more of an intense feel. I think it's shorter, too.
