I know you're in downtown Minneapolis but if you're ever able to go there, you should check out Skateville in Burnsville. It's fun. It's about the closest I've found to the skating rink I used to go to all the time back in the early 80s, similiar decor and feel and all. And the same quad skates with the big orange wheels! lol I"m with you on that too, no rollerblades for me - 4 wheel skates all the way!

I had a friend once who had sort of a similiar situation happen to her (sort of). She got hit in the face with a softball during a game at school and it really caused some damage to her teeth and jaw. She won't get anywhere near baseballs/softballs etc now.

Prince used to skate quite a bit at an out-of-Minneapolis rink called Roller Gardens. My wife skated with him on more than one occassion. This was the late '70's early 80's.

Id love to rollar skate with P!! But Id wear my gold hotpants!!
