I couldn't check out tracks 6-8 because they didn't have sound samples for them. All Music Guide called Dirty Mind, Prince's first masterpiece. So is it good or bad? What are your experiences of it. Is it worth buying because I'm a big Prince fan. Is it really true what they say about it?
This is when Prince started being "Prince" IMO he had found his "sound" The 1st 2 albums had elements of him but were also very influenced of other things in the main stream of that time but it was here that he took the risk! it was either sink or swim on this .He developed what would be his future cult following with this Album !!! Dirty Mind is brilliant, widely underrated, hot, sexy & as dirty as the title suggests. My fav tracks are Uptown, Dirty Mind, Head and Do It All Night. | |

Buy it. Turn it up. And commence to Party Up! Dirty Mind is a crazy album start to finish and I love every minute of it. Gotta Broken Heart Again is a ballad that just fit in perfectly with that quirky but funky and raw album. Prince killed it with this album. So to answer your question I would have to say Dirty Mind is bad in a good way! | |
