I will admit that I was surprised to see John Blackwell perform, but people handle things differently so props to him for being able to make through the show.

Agreed. I was back at work within a week of my mother's death.
Often getting back to a routine can help. Especially if it's something that you love.

I've seen Prince a dozen times or more and this show was absolutely amazing.

The highlight for me was Chaka Khan performing I Feel For You and Sweet Thing, and of course seeing Wendy Melovin onstage for most of the show. I was praying that Prince and Wendy performed Sometimes it Snows in April as a closer, but his performance and dedicating Purple Rain to John Blackwell and his family was amazing and it was really heartfelt. Sheila E. was in tears, and Prince damn near cried himself.

Simply Amazing Show.

What songs did W&L perform with Prince?

I don't remember seeing Lisa, but I heard from several in the audience that she was up there.
unfortunately Prince, Wendy and Lisa didn't do anything as a set. Wendy did some amazing solos and watching her lead off on When Doves Cry and play rhythm guitar on tracks like DMSR and especially Controversy brought back old memories. I wish he would have cut out his set with Dougie Fresh and used that time to do songs with just wendy and lisa.

Actually, Wendy did not do the trademark of "opening" of "When Doves Cry", that was an audio track, just like in the regular "Musicology" shows. She did play on "When Doves Cry" though.

One funny part during the show was during "Kiss" the NPG guitarist walked over to Wendy and (seemed) like he wanted to know who was going to do the Wah-Wah solo, they both kind of chuckled and agreed they'd both do it.

Did Prince say "Little girl Wendy's parade?"
