That would be one FUNKY album!!
but those two are pretty different
I cant see Prince ever working with Rick James but I
can say that it would be Phenomenal!!

Besides some people are just so big they never seem to work with their competion
you know what I mean?
If you will, so will I

Wait now that I remember last nights So-called performance on BET...
...uh, Im gonna take that back. Rick James is at a strange place in his life
and Prince is having his best year in years, so never mind the whole "phenomenal"
part.

Oh and RJ is NO competiton for Prince. People just like to compare them, like with MJ.
If you will, so will I

It could be a slammin' album but it would never happen. Rick's voice has never been the same since the stroke.

But I like for artists to be individuals. I never cared for the whole duet craze.

In the late 80s,Rick signed a recording contract with Warner Bros.In an interview from this period,he claimed that he and Prince sat down, talked and worked out their problems "the way real men should".So I guess if there was ever gonna be a Prince/Rick collaboration,it would have been during that time.Such a shame that their "truce" didn't last...lol...Rick has gone right back to his evil ways, dissing Prince in every other interview.

No, Prince and Victor Wooten should do an entire album. Think about it! Those short stubby fingers picking out the Bass, (Victor's, not Prince's), and the overall vibe and jam on a hot anyday July/ August concert while they're under the amphitheater and I'm on the lawn with my usual lawnchair and cooler trying to beat the heat and with or without the Flecktones, although in my opinion they are equally as tight as his current band! That would be one incredibly awesome show..... if only before I die.... sigh.....

Rick Springfield?

He was at the Mall of America this past week, surrounded by, and signing autographs for, a pack of giggly 40+ year old women. razz smile
