MARLON BRANDO AND PRINCE

sad THE WORLD HAS LOST A TRUE GENIUS WITH MARLON BRANDO PASSING AWAY....I AM DEVASTATED sad APART FROM PRINCE, I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYONE SO TOUCHED BY GREATNESS AS BRANDO....HE DOWNPLAYED HIS INCREDIBLE TALENT ON THE BIG SCREEN TO FIGHT FOR CAUSES HE RIGHTLY THOUGHT WERE MORE IMPORTANT.....BUT HE UNDERESTIMATED THE WAY HIS BRILLIANT PERFORMANCES TOUCHED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD sad
...
...I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF SIMILARITIES BETWEEN PRINCE AND BRANDO IN THEIR CAREERS AND NOW ONE AS BEEN LOST TO US.....REST IN PEACE....MARLON.

The main connections I can get between the two of them are that they are/were both very private people and Prince used quotes from Godfather (not Brando's as I recall) on a Madhouse album.

Other than that... (this is where you fill in the blank)
The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

I don't know of a lot of similarities, but, ok.

Brando has been Mount Rushmore worthy for decades. He is, and I do mean IS, truly The Godfather.

connections between prince and marlon brando....well both hated the businness side of the industry...both had massive success in the early part of their careers before both so called "lost their way" commericially...brando in the sixties, prince in the nineties...both were/are regarded by their peers has an almost god like figure by fellow actors/musicians...both had commercial comebacks when it seemed they were over the hill...brando in 1972 with the godfather....prince this year with musicology album and tour....
....need any more?

Wow, blackboab, good pull. I loved Brando and never would have made those connections. I see your point.

Here's a connection (somewhat)....

On Sheila E's 1987 song "The Pride And The Passion" (from her self-titled album),there is a lyric that goes...

"He had big cash and a Brando smile"

I'm pretty sure that Prince wrote this song lol
