I am friendly with the ownership of a new "high end" techno club in Indianapolis called Lotus. They told me tonight that the club will be the official host of the after-show party for the Indianapolis stop of ONA/P. The club is located on Meridian Street, 2 blocks north of the circle. It IS NOT within walking distance of the concert venue (actually about a 5minute drive) and the easiset parking is at the Union Station Parking Garage. The club is very nice with an Asian Beistro on the main floor and a techno club on the second floor. There is a very large and secure VIP roon on the second floor so I guess THE MAN will remain safely removed from the masses. The club usually stays open until 4-5am (no alcohol after 3) but there is absolutely no place to set up a performance, so it will probably end up like most after parties...no show, just look.

no liquor after 3?

I'm not surprised--Lotus had been my guess for the afterparty location.

Two things that come to mind:

1) Lotus had a dress code when it opened. I'm not sure of all the details, but jeans and athletic shoes were banned. However, I've heard that they've recently eased up, and I suppose that the dress code might not be in effect if Prince has rented out the club for the night. Still, if you're planning on going to the afterparty, you might want to play it safe and dress nicely.

2) Lotus is 21+ to enter. I don't know about their ID policy, but some other places here will sometimes ask for two ID's, so be prepared.
