NPGMC Customer Service: More Than You Asked For

Talk about customer service. I recently emaled NPGMC, giving suggestions, complaining a little, but basically I just wanted to communicate with them. This was the reply I got, and it sounds strangely like P. biggrin

"We have these emale addresses set up 4 feedback. Feedback on art is always valuable 2 the artist. Nevertheless, it is his art that has created this whole operation in the first place. So it will lead. An artists relationship 2 their audience is an interesting one. 2 often in r consumer-driven society we c businessmen and salespeople masquerading as entertainers. The art they produce is a product meant 2 b put on the shelf 4 the consumer 2 buy, always appealing 2 as many consumers as they can possibly get. We don't play that game. We are not MTV, Amazon.com, CDNow, or any other online operation a "consumer" might b used 2. We r here 2 connect Prince's art with the appreciators of that art. If Prince feels that things like message boards or chatrooms do not fit with his artistic vision, so b it, but thanks 4 the feedback."

Also.....

"High

We understand that Prince's fams may want different things than what is up on his official website, but we have 2 respect the artist's wishes. At the NPGMC, the artist always comes first, and everything up there is there because that is what Prince wants. So of course, everything that is NOT up there is also because that is what Prince wants. We're 100% cool with that. Ya dig?"

Does anyone else think this "artist's wishes " bit is a little cocky? Just wanted some feedback.
