Prince references in coming film 'Shaun of the Dead'

It is the coming movie from the director and writers of the comedy series 'Spaced'. Check out the trailer where they use records to decapitated zombie heads...

As the zombies advance they go through the precious record box;
'Purple Rain?'
'No!'
'Sign of the Times?'
'No!'
'Dire Straits Brothers in Arms?'
With a nod this is the record they use.

Prince records saved! Hurrah!

Go to the Official Site for Working Title Films, then go to their news section, you’ll find the link to the SHAUN OF THE DEAD trailer. http://www.workingtitlefilms.com/

Fantastic! looking forward to this! I loved 'spaced' when it was on Channel 4. If you're in the UK i recommend you pick up both seasons on DVD. You can get 'em for less than you'd pay for a movie.Great stuff!

Good joke! hehehe
Good that they remember SOTT...it´s a true masterpiece...as a whole, probably Prince´s best album ever. It has great musicianship, the songs were cool and fresh, good lyrics and even the cover is timeless.

Err... no!

The joke is that they are in desperate need of a weapon yet Shaun cannot be parted from his best records (PR and SOTT) and so only allows the crap ones to be thrown.

And yes you should go out and buy series one and series two of 'Spaced' on DVD, dead cheap now and one of the best comedies you'll find.
