August Release for all 3 Prince movies - Region 2

This is a follow up to a story I posted when I heard it as a rumour on the radio.

The usually very reliable R2 Project website (http://www.r2-dvd.org/), which specialises in DVD news for region 2 (UK and Europe), carries a transcript of a recent Warner Bros. Home Video press release.

Here is the portion we'll be interested in followed by a link to the whole story...

"Warner hit a real purple patch in August with a trilogy of Prince musicals including a two disc special edition of the mega-hit Purple Rain, based on his best-selling album plus it's sequels Under the Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge." "http://www.r2-dvd.org/ar...leId=6095"

cant really see GB and UTCM being too commercially viable a release?, great to have em if its true. Would've thought that the Syracuse P. Rain tour would be a better choice.

wow - a website did a cut & paste from the warners release two weeks after it happened.

I bet that was technically difficult to achieve !!

I can't wait for this to come out. I was a little disappointed when there was so few extras on the original Purple Rain DVD. I hope the 2 disc set means tons and tons of extras...maybe some behind the scene stuff? Anywho...Can't Wait!

Fargnoli or Albert Magnoli (which would make more sense) ?

I'm not sure I'll jump at the chance to see GB again. I'd contemplate watching UTCM again for sheer curiosity and the production values, even though both of these movies rank high in my list of stinkers I paid to see in a movie theater.

I did two weeks ago. The point I was making was that the DVD review site merely cut & paste the WB press release.

...and I won't sink to your level by insulting someone I don't even know. Not sure why you take things so personally when the point was aimed at the review site ?
