NYPost on Prince possibly showing at Pre-Grammy party

http://www.nypost.com/gossip/liz.htm
OUT IN L.A. everybody's anxiously peering into their mailboxes, looking for the invite to Clive Davis' pre-Grammy bash on Feb. 7. The super-party of the music industry is back where it began 29 years ago - the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel.

This year the theme of the show is said to be the "modern day diva" - one hot young gal after another will perform. And a "rarely seen male singer" will make his first-ever appearance at Clive's gala. (Hmmm . . . Prince?)

I remember stories that Prince has been to Clive Davis' party before - i don't think it's prince that they are talking about.

what'd I say in response to the Mani pics...?
Prince is on the verge of striking a deal with BMG, parent co of Clive's new label "J Records"...
The shit is going down and I hear the record is DOPE!
From what I understand there are two songs that we all may have heard but the rest are brand new and Musicology has been remixed by the 'neptunes. Silicon appears on the record as well as a reworking of Extraloveable.
The rest shall go nameless...tee-hee...
Peace.

I don't remember where I read this, but my recollection is that AFTER this song, Prince realized what had actually happened to Clive Davis at Arista and was less judgmental.

Yes, Prince was already at a Clive Davis party, because I remember Howard Stern talking about it. Prince sat in a corner booth or something and didn't really mingle. Clive Davis gave Prince a totally ass-kissing introduction too from what I remember.

I don't think so

Luther is still recovering from his stroke. Besides, it's already been said that Luther is going to do his best to attend the Grammys this year.

From the looks of his pictures last month, he won't be up to performing at any show.

Okay, I'll take the bait on what Spanky said...a re-working of Extraloveable??? I find this very hard to believe, mainly because I don't want to believe it! He couldn't do that song any justice NOW. I'd rather see the original be released than something edited or watered down.

- well, I only hope it´s not an album ´made for radios´ as Rave was. I am expecting that the new album has great musicianship and some hard funk/rock. Let´s wait and see...
