"What Prince thinks about the whole thing: "Songs" includes a version of his difficult-to-cover b-side, "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore." Recently, Keys spent an agonizing day sitting in a hotel room in Chicago, waiting for the singer to call and tell her what he thought. "So I'm sitting in my room, and every time the phone rings I'm like, 'Hello?' Keys remembers. "Of course, it's mother or my friend, or something like that, and finally his assistant calls and says, 'I'm going to connect you.' And this and that happens, and we finally got connected, and we actually spoke for like a half an hour. And the first thing he said to me was, 'When I heard that you did a cover of my song, I said, 'I have to call my lawyer.' So, I said, 'No, you don't have to call your lawyer. It's good. Listen to it.' He said that he really liked it, and he even invited me to a festival that he puts together every year. It was such a wonderful conversation. It was incredible."
