The latest issue of UK clubbing magazine Mixmag (# 121, June 2001, with Moloko singer Roisin Murphy on the cover) contains the story on how a remix of Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue" suddenly became a hit again (it was first a hit in early 1983).

The guy who did the remix, Armenian-born Los Angeles DJ Peter Black, has also done a remix of Prince's "Controversy", which is "even bigger than 'Electric Avenue'" ("Electric Avenue has been a club favorite for some six months and is currently in the UK Top Ten).

However, there are no plans to release it, the only copies you'll find are white label ones (which is something between bootleg and promo).
