WB's Greatest Hits -- More Info

I work in a music store and my distributor gave me the following info on the new Greatest Hits CD from WB. The following is from the official WB solicitation sheet sent to Onestops:

"The is the greatest hits album we've all been waiting for: all of Prince's biggest hits packaged onto one disc. Arguably the most influential artists of the [19]80's. Prince is one of the few mucisians of this or any other era to find a massive and intensely loyal audience while still being praised by critics and musical contemporaries alike for his bold experimentalism and prodigious instrumental skills. His brash, high NRG mix of pop, rock, funk, and psychedelia picked up where Sly Stone left off and the result was music that was revolutionary in its sonic experiementation and provocative fashion. this collection brings together the absolute best of Prince's Warner Bros. recordings - perhaps the most important recordings since the [19]70's - on one hit-jammed disc.

"THE VERY BEST OF PRINCE pours 17 singles originally released on Warner Bros. between 1976 and 1993 on one CD."

It goes on to mention that his Hits&B-Sides collection continues to sell over 4,000 copies every week with over 3 million sold to date. The set will also be marketed on TV, multiple radio programmings, and targeted media outlets with posters, etc.

And...here's the complete track listing:
1. I Wanna Be Your Lover
2. 1999
3. Little Red Corvette
4. Whenb DOves Cry
5. Let's Go Crazy
6. Purple Rain
7. I Would Die 4 You
8. Raspberry Beret
9. Kiss
10. Sign O' The Times
11. U Got The Look
12. Alphabet St.
13. Thieves In The Temple
14. Gett Off
15. Cream
16. Diamonds & Pearls
17. Money Don't Matter 2 Night

Now...here's the REALLY interesting part. WHile Prince complete discography (sans Black Album) is still in print, WB goes on to list his discography as: 1999; Around The World; Controversy; Diamonds & Pearls; Dirty Mind; Hits & B-Sides; Parade; Prince; Prince & The NPG; Purple Rain; Sign O The Times; The Vault: Old Friends For Sale

BTW, it says nothing about remasters. sad
