Come On Prince, Baybeee!
I hope Prince wins the Grammy. These awards usually don't mean much to me. But this one is special! It shows how he is still on top of his game. Those awards shows always showcase the little "pop-stars" and their little Mickey Mouse songs, talking 'bout how "I'm all grown up now, look I'm sexy and can even have sex too!" I am sick and tired of those little toy singers that they cram down your throat nowdays. Those of us who have enjoyed "the Ride" with Prince, I know for me from at least the "1999" albumn & when Purple Rain came out. It was love at first sight & hear. I have never heard of such another true musician. Do these play-singers even know what that is? So, I hope PRINCE wins the Grammy. The acknowledgment of a nomination is great, but to bring it home, would really slap haters around. Thanks Prince for gracing us again with wonderful and true music! Long-time fan/fam from B-More, MD. Purple Hippies Bang Yo Head On The 1!Dance On, Fellow Purple People!

chrisslope9 said: When Prince went to stage to accept his 2nd Grammy award(Wendy and Lisa picked up the first) in 1985, Bob Denver, who presented Prince with the award moved into Prince's personal space either to shake Prince's hand or possibly to hug Prince. During those days Prince, who was ruling the pop world in every way, had a very huge ego and a very strict ' no one touches Prince' policy. I guess no one told Denver about this because he was totally stunned and embarrased when Big Chick roughed him up live on national television. Am I the only one on this site old enough to have seen th '85 Grammy's live?
i gotta be wrong about this but...bob denver as in GILLIGAN?? | |
