Are you almost ready to JAMM? As the excitement builds for the First Annual Family Jamm!, December 13, 2003 at the Great Western Forum in Los Angeles, check out the new advertisement for the show on our website at http://www.lilangelbunny.com and be sure to turn up your speakers (Flash Player required)! Tickets are still available for the event through Ticketmaster, with proceeds going to the Lil' Angel Bunny Foundation.
Remember, concert tickets make a great Holiday gift! See you next weekend in Los Angeles!

Yeah that's about the only "advertisement" I've seen. It's gonna be a beautiful night...but empty as a cavern. I guess we'll have to fill up the space with good vibes...
For all those traveling from afar, I salute you for your HEART! Can someone in LA designate a club or at least an all-night diner (Perkins memories from MPLS) to keep the party going? With all these people coming in from Texas, NC, Florida, New York, Europe, etc., we gotta represent! LA Bump Squad, (Chris), where you at?? Recognize & organize!

J7 from the Bumpsquad posted that there are plans for meet n greets on both Friday night and Sunday. Others are also chatting about getting together Saturday before the show. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

On a different thread I read that only 2 thousand tickets were sold; is this correct? Doesn't that arena hold like 15,000-20,000 people.
If Prince is planning on showing they better let the cat out of the bag so they can some asses in the seats.

It looks like they're going to do a theater setting, because they aren't selling tickets for the whole top section of the Forum now. Not by far the worst thing. I recall that when Prince (well, at that point the Nameless One) toured Phoenix the first time for Emancipation he deliberately took the coliseum down to theater and limited ticket sales accordingly. Yes, from a marketing perspective probably a good way to ensure the darn thing sells out. But from an audience perspective it was a wonderful and intimate show. I was sort of hoping for a smaller venue for this, so while I definitely want the care center to get lots of money out of this I'm also happier to hear they're going this route . . . (More people than I've ever seen at a W&L show at 2K, though!)

thank you. It mostly means that the relation of stage area to seats is different than it would be if the whole arena was open -- the place doesn't feel empty so much as (temporarily) reduced in size overall. For example, when Prince played the Coliseum in Phoenix some years back, over half the coliseum was behind curtains, and the stage was set up to be centered relative to the half in which seating was sold. It's easier to draw than describe!

This may have already been posted/discussed, but here is a copy of an official e-mail from info@sheilae.com that I received yesterday regarding Saturday's show... See ya all there!
Hello, The show will be happening. There is a different set up for the Family Jamm than the one shown on Ticketmaster. The E-Team Responding to an e-mail I sent: Question - with the Family Jamm quickly approaching (3 days away!) and only what appears to be the first 20 rows of the floor sold, is the show still occuring? Same venue?... Please advise... I'm sorry more money wasn't raised for the cause... Why wasn't there more advertising? ***
