Prince Plays Hong Kong

Prince Plays Hong Kong

Prince performed the first show of his world tour in Hong Kong on Friday unveiling the hits driven set-list that he says he will soon retire.

The Hong Kong show was a late addition to the tour which was due to begin in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday (October 21). Prince agreed to open the four day event in Hong Kong to declare the territory free of SARS.

The Australian tour will be Prince's second ever appearance in the country and first in over 10 years.

The show was publicized as "Prince performing his hits live for the last time" and judging by the set-list there will be a lot of holes in his future performances if these are the songs ready for the pension.

If your favourite Prince album was Purple Rain (and for many it is) you won't be disappointed. Seven songs from that album alone were performed at the Hong Kong show.}}}

Maybe this means that the public will get the LIVE album they always wanted (and NOT ONA which was for him).

The two songs he didn't play from Purple Rain are my favorites...maybe he's not retiring Computer Blue? Yum.

Hey, a boy can dream, can't he?

I don´t think is a good idea to retire the old songs. Thouse songs made Prince what he is today. Did he give a reason to do that? I know things change but why retire your own work? I think that Prince with this decision is retiring himself.
