Prince Moving to Canada

PRINCE, the pop artist formerly known as an American, is said to be heading to Canada. The word is that he has plunked down $US10 million ($15.1m) for a mansion in Toronto and plans to move there for good with his wife, Manuela.
Could it be sour grapes over his failure to find a distributor for his new album, "News," a jazz and funk compilation?

The diminutive popster, known in the music industry to be notoriously difficult, is now said to be working on a deal with Amazon.com to distribute the disc on the Web site - just as the Eagles are trying to do.

This is a joke and beyond ridiculous. We all know:

A/ He bought a second home in Toronto (big deal - he's rich + his Mrs. is from here)

B/ He is a lotal Minnesota native and American.

C/ Why are we even discussing this?

If that's the case then good for him. Change is always good and you'd be amazed what something like that can do a person creativity. Look at what moving to Europe did for Marvin Gaye. He came back with "Midnight Love" and scored big. Change equates to a lot of things and creatively it can do wonders for a lot of people. He's 45 y'all and happily married. Doesn't he deserve to live in a comfortable relaxed setting? I'm mean, Canada may fit into what he needs right now to live in and this world is a much bigger place than Mpls. He had his experience there and now it may be time for a new experience. And also keep in mind that he don't really have to be in a hurry to put out a new album and staying in the public eye all the time. That cat can hang his hat up if he wants to and put out albums for the rest of his career from his vault alone and sit back and chill. Not that Prince is about sitting still, he can afford to do that and make a move in his life that is currently what's best for him.

Yes that is absurd cause and effect reporting...the reporter is an idiot or just a hack. Prince certainly has many houses all over...he's rich and can afford it. He is not going to permanently move to Toronto when he has a big house in MPLS and Paisley Park is there where he does his recording, etc. Maybe he will live a few months out of the year in Toronto for a change of pace, but I seriously doubt he is permanently moving there.

He has enough $$$ that he can fly back and forth and live in both places if he wants, plus go to Maui and stay there too.

And I'm sure he can get his CD on Amazon if he wants. You could write a 5 page pamphlet about the life cycle of the fruit fly and Amazon would sell it for you...just more stupid entertainment "reporting".

Fame can be an awful thing to watch some times. And I mainly mean the ones that are full of dead-cert assumptions about said famous man.

On the other side of things I 'imagine' that Prince has found a way of dealing with issues like the one raised here. I wonder if that is to just ignore it all?

It's possible he has already changed his mind since the article was written. If this is true,Iam disappointed because I thought he was starting to open PP and have parties again. It's difficult to be a fan.
