Prince in People Mag/VH1 Special I forget the whole title of the mag, but it's a People Magazine/VH1 special issue spotlighting 200 cultural icons. Prince has a blurb and a pic (circa 80's) in it near the back of the book.

It is on page 126 or page 128(snuck a peak while in the checkout line of grocery store). They stuck him on half a page sharing with Elton John. There was a good note about him getting his name back in 1999, which people still don't know. They still insist on calling him that funny little symbol. All in all, it is not that bad. No negative comments. [This message was edited Mon Jul 21 7:39:40 PDT 2003 by LoveSexyS]

Yep Prince is #137 out of the top 200 list. I thought he would be higher, but then I'm biased. "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

It's the 200 GREATEST POP CULTURE ICONS. It's on all this week on VH-1 and there is a PEOPLE Magazine special edition accompanying it. They are counting down the top 200 pop culture icons of all time. *White, Black, Puerto Rican..Everybody just a-freakin'...-Prince(1980)*
