Went to the Prince concert at Saavis Center in St. Louis last night. Overall it was a pretty good show but I think most people left feeling short changed. I know I did! Don't get me wrong I love Prince but this show was not as advertised. First of all the show was only an hour and a half, I expected at least two hours for $65! Plus add in all the Najee solos and Prince was probably out their only an hour! Secondly I was under the impression that he was playing full versions of his greatest hits and this was not the case. Not only did he sing only a 1/4 of take me with you, raspberry beret, and baby I'm a star. He wasn't even onstage at the time when doves cry was playing. I dont know if he was singing from behind the stage or it was a tape playing. That alone is totally unacceptable how could he rob the fans of St. Louis by not singing arguably his biggest hit of his career? I was going to go to the afterpary afterward but I felt that prince had stolen enough money from me for one night.
